A Lonely Place

A dark space
When nobody listens;
A place where fear
Is on every single thing.

Nothing but a crawling loneliness
That leaves you empty,
Filling every inch of your soul
With nothing but coldness.

You are now forgotten,
Being left behind
To slowly fade away
Into the dust of time.

Just a soul destined to walk alone,
Never finding a place to call home,
Wandering totally alone
On a dark path.

Your only company is the echo
Of your own voice,
Eternally repeating
Your deepest fears.

No one in the world
Cares about your fate.
No one is waiting for you
To get back home.

Your voice got lost,
And now, no one can hear you.
A human being got turned into
A faceless ghost.
