The Man in My Dreams

His eyes are dark
like the raven's..sharp
Looking at him..something in me spark
strange feeling embrace my heart.

You look at me
and your eyes seem to speak with me
Quiet in its depth but full of story
I stared at you in silent awe..mesmerized with your glory.

Strangely still, something's not right
As he seem to be dream-like in my sight
Then I woke up suddenly in the middle of the night
It was only a dream...and shattered my delight.

I sigh...sadness shadowed my eyes
He's not real, just an imagination in my life
but the feeling he evokes in me seemed to burn like fire
filling me with hope and warmth...keeping me alive.

The man in my dreams
holds my heart and mind to the extremes
stoking the dying embers with its flames
though in reality...it never exists...just a dreaming game...
