Sounds of silence

by sheelsdevi
In a large house ,engulfed in larger silence

She sat forelone,trying to reminice

Thoughts of bygones were strong and real,

Alas! those days were all so, ephemeral.

Preened and spruced with screwed up ear,

She sat astride on an age old chair,

Silence spoke in volumes to her,

Sounds emanated from nooks and corner.

Swish of leaves from tress and plants,

Tweets and shreiks from unnamed birds.

The whiff of notes on table top,

The sweep of duster and the mop.

All created myriad pleasant sound-

One took no notice, when in crowd ..

The droplets from the leaky tap,

Had a rhythmic tune, alike a clap .

Frogs and creatures of the night,

Sang in tandem to uncanny note.

She heard it all by sitting alone,

Feeling lonely lost and moron.

None cared for these scribbling sounds,

Though, heard by the milling millions.

Loud and clear were all those noise

Still they were the `Sounds of Silence'
Let others and the author know if you liked it

Liked it alot?
