The following day, she and Lola visited The following day, she and Lola visited a gang of hoodlums in an uncompleted building, Bola’s heart shivered when she saw the guys, they looked dangerous, fearless, tall with huge bodies, their physiques are enough to scare anyone.



“Ah, mama tuwale” they greeted Lola, raising their hands above their heads and stamping their feet on the ground severally.



“How una dey?” Lola returned the greeting

“Mama, we just dey oo” one of the hooligans replied her



“Where Nonso?”

“Mama, e dey inside”

“Ok make I go meet am inside then” she said and gestured to Bola to follow her.



Nonso was a professional in executing wicked jobs for people who were ready to pay his price.



“Ah, mama” Nonso greeted Lola the same way the other boys did but more gentle, his voice was far thicker than any of the others.



“Nonso Nonso, how you dey” Lola smiled as she greeted Nonso. After introducing him to Bola who accompanied her, he offered them a seat on two blocks.



“So, mama, weytin carry you come today?”



“Na dis my friend get one small problem with one man and him don try to take her life but thank God say he don fail if not weytin we go dey talk?” Lola narrated



“Enh? Who be the idiot make I help you commot am sharp sharp” Nonso asked



“Confirm, that’s why I like you, you sharp” Lola said praising him



“So mama, abeg give me details quick quick”



“The thing wey dey there be say we no know him house because na hotel we dey go meet am if we wan meet, so we go call am say we wan meet am tomorrow then instead make we go, na u go go there” Lola explained



“Enh enh, OK no wahala, that one go tough but I dey tanga to do the work”



“Sure guy” “na Banky’s hotel we dey go meet and na room 406 he dey always say”



“OK mama, but how you go treat us na?” Nonso asked



“How much you wan collect”



“Because say na you, make I collect 2M”



“Mtcheeeeeeeew, for weytin?”

“Ah mama, you no know say na hotel I dey go? Where security camera plenty well, I go need am to…….”



“E don do” Lola cut in on Nonso

“I go give you 1M, I get 500k for here now then after you go collect the remaining” She added


Nonso nodded his head in disagreement at first but later adhere to her wish.


“Hmmmm mama the mama” Nonso hailed as she have him five hundred thousand naira cash,


“No forget ooo, him name na Lekan Thompson and na room 406 e dey always use so no go fuck up ooo” Lola warned as she paid her bills.



“Ah mama, fuck up for where? No be me be that, I go do this one myself” he said hailing her as she stood up to leave.



All the while Lola talked to the guys, Bola was mute, she couldn’t utter a word rather, she would just nod her head in agreement to whatever Lola said. The place disgust her and even the sight of those men wasn’t favourable to her. She swallowed her saliva many times. She took a very deep breath immediately they left the building.



“Do you think that guy is good enough?” Bola finally spoke, asking Lola as they got to their vehicle



“Ah yes ooo, infact he is very good, he has done many other jobs for me” Lola said assuring her.



Bola’s conscience hasn’t totally assent to the plan of killing Lekan but what could she do, the advice came from her best of friends who has always adviced her ever since they met back in school, she was the one who advised her to Leave Lekan for chief so as not to die in abject proverty and also to give Korede to chief as his son so that chief would love her the more as chief has being in search of a child for a very long time even after marriage to 11 different women.





Immediately Bola arrived at her house she dialled Lekan as she and Lola had planned earlier and then told him to meet her at Banky’s hotel, she specifically told him to wait in room 406 where they had met the previous day, she told him she had finally agreed to give him back his son but there are still somethings to be resolved before she would hand him over, Lekan agreed and the time was set.
