Island Man with a Celestial flavor

by celestialmind
He has the most lyrical voice ever; one stuck in my mind and soul forever
This singer lifts me from under the weather; I could sit at his feet and listen whenever
I breathe in and meditate upon his wisdom for God’s favor; in Africa’s freedom endeavor
For this Island man’s passion however; I can dream and fly my thoughts like a feather
This man from the Island is a celestial flavor; a taste you won’t resist altogether

His ruggedness denotes unsolved mystery; of a returning African warrior
In his eyes a light piercing through history; shining through the dark wall barrier
Under his beanie cap are dreadlocks with a story; for a moment I thought he was a furrier
On his lips comes words of wisdom without parry; I even vowed to wear them like a carrier
This man from the Island is a celestial flavor; a taste you won’t resist altogether

I listen to the vibration of his vocals say; please don’t stay away
I’ll never let them take you away; I purpose to be there all the way
It made my steady feet do a little sway; made my bold face blush and look away
It felt like a serenade to me in every way; though he wasn’t here with me anyway
This man from the Island is a celestial flavor; a taste you won’t resist altogether
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thoughts of him are in sync with my heartbeat
I just want to drill through the wall abutting us a little bit
And look into his eyes until the sun rises
Let his words ignite my mind till my soul upraises
Let others and the author know if you liked it

Liked it alot?

Dariah dragged herself into the bathroom, the fresh memory hung on the walls of her thoughts like a death sentence executed everyday of her life. She wanted to erase every detail that reminded her of the event on that day, years ago.

I may not truly wrap my mind around this man's story of death and resurrection, his body buried in no-man's land; his torso in Kenya, feet in Tanzania. I listen very keenly, believing every word from his mouth- he is my father!
