IN A BID TO CHANGE THEIR DESTINIES 4

Episode 4

Night had come and everything was quite. Everyone was asleep and only the sounds of the chipping cricket could be heard while being complemented with snores from twin papa. Looking at the clock the time read 4:50 am and just then a loud sound pierced the dark silence of the Nigth. Everyone woke up with the speed of light, “what could that be?” was what was on everyone’s mind when suddenly the sound was heard again. “Yeeeeeeeee!” was loudly heard again and this time, twin papa and twin mama knew it was one of their sons that made the loud sound of pain. “isn’t that Wike” twin papa asked twin mama who by now was already opening the door, leaving the room for that of their sons. When she got there, shock and fear gripped her. 

In the room stood two separate single beds, one belonging to either of the twins. Chike was fast asleep on his bed while Wike was not the wike they knew. He could horribly in pain and his stomach had swollen up to the size of a basketball. “Jesus!” twin papa shouted as he arrived the room. “Ewo, my son what happened” twin mama asked fearfully as she approached the boy who was in pain. 

‘I don’t know o mama, I don’t know” he said as he rolled restlessly on the bed. 

“Chai what did you eat?” twin papa asked looking dismayed at his son who had retired to bed last night happily and healthily. “see this one o” he commented on seeing that Chike was still fast asleep. He didn’t think twice before hitting him hard on his feet with his hard palms. “Christ of Nazarette” Chike grumbled as he felt the pain from the hitting of his legs. “Is it morning already?” he added

“What are we going to do now” Chike heard his mother say to his father while in tears. “Ewo! Papa, mama what happened to Wike? What happened to my brother?” he asked rhetorically. In a twinkle of and eye, twin papa strongly lifted Wike as a husband would carry his newly wedded wife to their matrimonial bed on their wedding day and moved towards the door with a dash. “Where are you taking him to?” twin mama asked curiously as she followed him. Along with Chike who was sweating profusely along with his parents.
