IF MOM DOESN'T WORK TODAY...

If mom doesn’t work today,

the boys will go astray.

Dad will be rushing in the morning,

to school and to his meeting

as mom is not driving.


If mom doesn’t work today,

she will be lying on bed

reading her favourite book.

No packed breakfast on the table,

no bread and butter on the plate,

no meals being cooked.


If mom doesn’t work today,

she may be at the beach,

enjoying the waves and the breeze.

Relieving her stress,

taking a slow deep breath,

and doing some exercise to energize.


If mom doesn’t work today,

she may be tired or sick

or just need a break?

What do the kids do for her?

Prepare her breakfast on bed

or massage her to relieve her body ache?


If mom goes on holiday,

will dad prepare meals

and drive the kids everywhere?

with patience and care,

just like mom does everyday?


Mom doesn’t ask for a holiday

or any monthly pay.

Just make her happy,

and help her whenever necessary.

Shower her with love and care,

Appreciate her in your own way

and make a prayer for her everyday.
