I'm currently walking down the school hallway.
I was walking cheerfully whilst humming like a child. I was doing it all along when a loud "blag!" has echoed in the whole area.
"What was that?" I asked myself, with my shivering body, probably because of the shocking sound I heard just a few seconds ago. I shook my head and tried to convince myself that it was just nothing.
"Alright, I gotta go," I murmured to myself. I decided to continue walking out of this school when another "blag!" covered up the whole school hallway again.
My mouth released an obstreperous scream instantly. I could already even hear my own heartbeat because of its loud beats.
"Haylee.." I stopped abruptly when I heard a tiny voice which comes from a girl I think, has mentioned my name. It was coming from my back!
I was terrified. Very, terrified. I couldn't even think of a possible way out of this.
"Haylee.." Came again, a voice that's like a whisper that I can't barely hear but I did anyway. It was such a chaste and soft voice.
I tried to find courage to look back but I failed. I was just too freaking nervous to look back!
"I need your help..." It was said in a voice that pertains that she's already on a verge of crying.
I held the straps of my backpack tightly, looked up and closed my eyes. Damn! I hate myself from being coward but I'm really frightened.
"Haylee.." Whispered again by a pleading voice.
I was waiting for the next words she's going to throw but nothing came. A long silence has covered up not only the whole area but as well as my whole system. It was as though, my own heartbeat momentarily stopped from beating.
I slowly opened my eyes. And asked myself, is that unknown creature gone already?
I composed myself and when I finally have the courage to look back, I did.
"I SAID I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!!!!" Somebody has held my hand tightly immediately and shouted this right in front of my face. In return, a very loud scream was also made by me.
She's here, right in front of me. Holding my hand outrageously. She's wearing a green dress that covers her up to her knees. She have a long hair that has been loosen up. And her eyes, that has been fixed directly into mine is filled with anger, rage and misery.
"Let me go! Let me go!" I screamed. She's frightening the hell out of me.
I tried my very best to pull away but she's just so strong and she's holding my hand firmly that it hurts, too much, like hell.
Before I could do any further moves to send myself away from her, everything turns black.
I opened my eyes gently. I then realized that I was in the hospital. What the heck just happened?
I looked around and I saw Lita, our housemaid. She just came in from the entrance door with a few amounts of food and nutritious fruits with her. When she check me up, she shrieked.
"Haylee? Thank goodness!! You're already awake!!!" She screamed delightfully. She then did the sign-of-the-cross gesture and whispered some things. Right, she's always that religious.
"What happened?" I asked.
"You don't remember? Your school contacted us, saying that you passed out." She answers while putting the food she probably bought on the side table.
"Why'd you bring me here? I could have just stay at the school clinic!" I demanded.
"Sweetheart, you know your father. He's always been that protective over you. He'll give you the best. Sure thing, expect to take a lot of unnecessary medical tests to take definitely schemed by your father just to secure your health." She then chuckled.
Lita's right. Dad has been like this to me now. He was back then actually, but when my mom died, he became even more protective over me, exaggeratedly.
Later on that day, Dad came and asked me a tons of questions which I ended up answering all, including the redundant ones. And true enough, I took almost all of the medical tests that I could take.
Monday hopped in, and I was already on my way to my first subject's classroom.
It's been a week since that incident happened, or did it actually happened? It took me days before getting myself convinced that it was just really an illusion created by none other but me, myself.
As I walk through, I noticed that the faces I'm seeing is entirely different. It's really odd.
I walk some more and there, I saw the girl that I've seen last week! She's surrounded by bunch of students.
One of the students on the crowd, pushed her against the wall. Causing her to be snuggling up there. One of the students again, pull the tracks of her hair and shove her down the floor. The crowd was filled with laughter when she broke down.
They were bullying her! And she's doing nothing to fight!
The girl fixed her eyes onto mine. Goosebumps all over my body. She gave me a sad smile, a very sad smile.
I was about to help her out but a dazzling light caused my eyes to shut. It was such a blinding light. So, I closed my eyes still.
After about a minute, I carefully opened my eyes. I was surprised when I found out that I was already in our house. Like, WHAT THE FREAKING FUDGE JUST HAPPENED?!
I looked up the stairs, and there's the mysterious girl that has been bugging my mind these past few days. She's like motioning me to follow her. I was so unsure at the moment but I did follow her anyway.
She entered mom and dad's room, I was so confused but I followed her anyway again. I freaked out when I saw my mom there! Mom is already dead. HOW COULD BE IT?
Dad was also there, he's looking for clothes to wear. While mom was sitting on the bed, resting her back against the header.
Dad excused himself, he said he'll be taking the shower.
"Mom, I said I don't want to continue going to school anymore." The girl told my mom. What?! Why was she calling my mom her mom?
"Stop it, Lylee. I'm tired." Answered, mom.
Lylee? So her name's Lylee?
The argument between mom and her has been prolonged throughout. Lylee kept on insisting that she doesn't want to go to school anymore while mom continue on opposing her idea. Until...
"I told you to stop already! I said no!" Mom shouted savagely.
"But, mom..." Lyle pleaded.
"Don't call me "mom," it's disgusting! You are not my daughter!" Mom uttered, very mad.
Lylee was seems to be blown away by what mom has said. "W-what?" She asked in disbelief.
"Oh yes!!! You're not my real daughter! Haylee was my only daughter! You're just a product of your dad's infidelity towards our marriage!! You're a big mistake!!!" Mom shouted at Lylee with so much rage.
"Mom!" I can't help but to shout, mom doesn't have to be that rude! But neither both of them hear me. It was like, I was invisible. That my existence in that moment isn't validate.
Mom stood up and got a certain thing on the drawer. It's a gun!
"I guess I should have end your life now, eh? So much for the sufferings, honey. I'm actually doing you a favor!" And then she pointed out the gun into Lylee directly.
Lylee shouted. And I can't help it also but to shout too.
"What---STOP IT AURORA! WHAT DO YOU THINK ARE YOU DOING?!" Dad just came out from the comfort room and immediately freaked out by the scenario he has seen.
"Oh no, no. I have to end your daughter's life. That thing reminds me that you've cheated on me!" And then mom burst out of tears.
"Aurora, look. This is my mistake. Don't put the blame----" Dad wasn't able to finish her sentence because a terrifying "bang!" has echoed in the room.
"Hylee! Wake up! Hurry up, you'll be late in school." I saw Lita, she's trying to wake me up.
Was it also a dream? Maybe, yes. But it's really something. Something that I shouldn't disregard.
I got up hastily and went off to school directly. I have to figure things out!
I went to the school hallway, where i first encountered her. When i got there, I shouted like a retired. Other students that's passing by may think that I'm insane but at the moment, I don't give a damn!
"Lylee! I know you're here! Show up!" I shouted again.
Then, a deafening silence cover up my whole system. It's as though, I'm alone in the school hallway now. And there she is, right in front of me....
She held my cheeks, as tears began to pooled down from her eyes.
"My little sister.." She smiled. "I know you've had an amnesia that's why you don't remember me. But, I know your..." She placed her hand on my chest. "Your heart knows everything that your mind forgotten."
It was very touching and i nearly cried.
"When you told me that you need help, what was it?" I asked her.
"That.." She smiled sweetly. "I need you to give dad this," she then hugged me. A hug wherein you could feel the care, love and compassion.
"Tell him that I love him so much." She whispered. "And I, I love you too very much, Hylee."
And then we both burst out in tears.
