Gamble

Life is like a game
We have to gamble in this life to win
Put a poker face in every shame
And don't let the failure in.

Every man has his own shadow
own hardships and bitterness - too hard to swallow
Each fair share of downfall, yet trying hard to follow
His dreams throughout misfortunes, striving to rise from hollow.

People may try to take us down
Put a smirk on our smile and make us frown
Steal from our heart our hidden clown
And take away the virtue of our crown.

Oh they may laugh at our failure
Give us pains and discouragements more than we can endure
But stand high and fight for our battle
We should never be the one to lose in this struggle.

There will be trying times when we
should unleash the dare-devil and fighter in us
No matter how risky, we should break that glass
To have the victory in our hands at last.

So gamble away with life, with fate
Even if we fail, we should keep faith
No matter how difficult we should hold unto our ace
Don't let the cheaters smirk on our face.
