your innocent eyes look at me without knowing...

Those delicate feet and cute little hands are stretching

even at this untimely hour of midnight

I was so delighted to see your first smile
I'll listen as you babble away for the first time
and patiently help you utter them in phrases til your first talk
I'll guide you in your first walk
til you learn to run alone with those little feet...

as you mature and become wiser
