Daughters are not less than boys.

Smita comes from a family where importance of boys are more than girls. In her family girls are just treated for giving birth to child and look after the family. She has four sister, and she is the younger one. She has no real brother, her uncle have two sons so she has cousin brother.So story starts from here when Smita's mom gave birth to her, her granny get disappointed because the baby is girl child. As soon as she hears that it is a girl child she leaves the hospital without seeing the face of the baby child. When her mom gets discharge from the hospital she hears alot taunting from her mother- in -law and sister-in-law at that time Smita's father didn't said a word against her mom and sister. Smita mom cries alot because already she has three daughters and this is the fourth daughter.There comes a point when her granny tell her father to get marry to another lady so that her son could have a son, so at that time her father says to his mom that am happy that i have daughters and i don't want a son on this condition so that i should get marry, and anyways my brother have son they are also like my son. On hearing this my granny gets upset with my dad and mom. My dad left for business tour for somedays, so during my dad tour my granny made my mom life hell, she didn't gave her food on time, she said her to work for overnight and she used to allow me to feed hardly and she always prayed that i should die. My aunt was also not less she also supported my granny my mom never complain about this to my dad as he already had pressure that marry to someone else and business load also. In my whole family just my dad and uncle were good, as we were leaving joint family.
One day my aunt brother came to our house i and my cousin elder brother was playing in house so my brother took my toy from my hand so is started crying, and said him that you have no right to take my toys and this is my home get lost from here, my aunt brother was istening our fight so he said to my brother that how, this girl can tell you like this. I was angry on this that how a outsider can tell me like this but i didn't said him a thing and left the hall. This was not only things were said to us but granny also did a differences lot. She used to give money to my cousin brothers and went we used to ask my granny money so she used to tell us that we are giving you education, food and shelter that's enough why you girls are making our more expenses. In each and everything my cousin brothers fer favoured by my granny and aunt. My aunt and granny would look at my mom and to my sisters as if we are enemy to them and they are going to eat us.
There was stage came in my mom life that she decided to do suicide but she didn't do because she knew if she take this step then their daughters life will become hell. My dad said to my granny if your behaviour will be like this i will leave this house and you people and i will never come back, after this incident my granny had stop little bit but then also her cruelty was not less at somepoint. Now we all sister were growing and now we were all grown to go to school. Our education was okay, till our class 5th after that my granny had a objection for our education, so my dad decided to send all four sister to hostel so that we can complete our education in peace.
My elder sister when she completed her higher secondary education at that time my granny called my sis at home and at that time my dad was not at home he went to some tour. We all went with my elder sister to our home and we were surprised to see that my granny had called a family to see my sister for her marriage and my mom was also shock she was also not knowing about this, so at that time my mom gave a ring to my dad and said the whole incident. As my dad was not at our hometown so he gave a ring to his friend to help him and at that time Raju uncle came and saved my sister life. After a week my dad came home and he gave a nice scolding to my granny and said us from now onwards you girls will not come home until i will tell you people to come.
Now to my mom and sister suffering years have past. Now we all sister are at a good position and well settled. My elder sister she is Chartered Accountant, my second sister is doctor and she is child specailist and my third sister is corporate lawyer and i am dress designer.You must be thinking what happened to my aunt and granny. They are all good my aunt has jealousy on my mom that she gave birth to daughter and now they are all successful . As my aunt sons they didn't become successful as they were spoiled by my granny just because they were boys, and now they both have ended into drugs and drinking.Now aunt also wished if she had stop her sons in the start today they would also have become a successful person in their life.
Today we all sisters are going to hospital to see our granny as she is quiet ill. I said mom that i will not come to see this lady whatever she have done to us in past my mind don't allow me to go, so my mom said me that see child she is your dad's mom you should have the nature to forgive to your elders though they are wrong.When i met my granny she said to my mom and sisters forgive for my behaviour in the past and now i have realized that guys are not less than boys....
