She is scared. And a total nervous wreck, struggling to make her way while pulling her trolley amongst hundred of people in a very busy street of New York.
She knows that it would come into this, that's why she didn't want to come alone but her mother — the shedevil that she is insist that she had to come on her own. Saying over and over like a broken record, that she's already old enough to travel alone.
She stopped walking and silently fume on her feet.
Her mother might be right. But at 18 and barely out of highschool, she still consider herself as a teenager. And that's something her mother can't understand. Or better say, 'do not want to acknowledge'.
And now standing on her trembling knees while the people swarm around her, sent shivers of fear on her spine.
But her ears perk when she heard someone playing a piano.
Her tense shoulders starts to relax, while her body seems to move on its own and before she knew it she's already standing in a park in front of a small and tacky music store. Her breathing hitch when she saw a beautiful boy sitting in front of a white piano situated at the very front of the store, playing wholeheartedly.
The boy looks ethereal, with his blonde hair that seems to shone unnaturally, beneath the rays of sunlight. And an eyes that has the palest shade of blue, that she has ever seen, framed by thick curly lashes which us full of untold pain and sadness, every time he hits the key.
Then the music turn deeper, while time seems to stop as she holds her breath and listen to melody as it change, every time his fingers delicately caress the keys. Each notes resonate in her heart. And touch her soul, until it reach and struck something deeply within her.
She doesn't know how long he had been playing, but when he's fingers finally stop she's already crying. And not only her, she also realized now but a lot of people are there standing with her. Creating a huge crowd in front of the store. Like her, they also become bewitched by the young boy's music. And she doesn't know why, but watching the boy who quietly starts walking away from the huge crowd, flicker something deeply in her.
Feeling of lost. Hope. And longing.. Those emotions filled her heart, calming her nervousness until she starts feeling her normal self again.
"I hope, I see him again..."
