A Memory

Looking back from my childhood days
when a certain song has come my way
I listened to it on some summer day
and I find myself crying as my tears gave way.

A memory of the past yet it still make me
sad
Coz that lonely summer day I missed someone so
bad
still yearn for a love that I never had
still fighting the tears and it hurts so bad.

And looking back at those lonely days
It still makes me somber
to realize that those youthful days are gone forever
now I'm a bit older and a little bit wiser.

Yet deep in my heart is still a memory
and can't let go of what used to be
but yet don't want to lose the present here with me
and just let the memory remain a memory.
