A Daughter's Plea

Waking up in a new day,
Knowing you will not see her today,
Not on the morrow, nor the next day
Neither what day it may be
May it be Sunday ‘til Saturday?
No silhouette of her shall pass your way,
Wishing you could see her
Maybe just hug her tight and tell her your story
Or even whisper I love you to her ear
Hoping to listen to her voice
That before you sometimes taken as a noise
But which you so currently long to hear
Realizing that she has gone somewhere faraway
Somewhere, where you can’t be
Not now, but maybe someday.
