Is Christian McCaffrey playing Week 9?

There was some question about whether or not McCaffrey(ankle) Adam Thielen T Shirts would play in Week 8 against the Falcons on Thursday Night Football. Ultimately, McCaffrey needed a bit more time to come back from a high-ankle sprain, but he should return against the Chiefs in Week 9.

According to , Ingram might not play against the Colts in Week 9, as his ankle injury is more of high-ankle sprain than a low-ankle sprain.

If Ingram does, in fact, mi s a tough matchup against the Colts, Gus Edwards and JK Dobbins will share carries once again. Both will draw flex consideration, but Edwards is the better play because he seems likely to get the goal-line touches. Because the Colts don't give up many yards to RBs, TD upside will be valuable in this matchup.

Ekeler (hamstring) is technically eligible to come off IR for the chargers any time now. That said, reported a few weeks back that Ekeler's return to action would come "later rather than sooner", so Ekeler should continue to mi s action for the Chargers.

Justin Jackson appears to be slightly ahead of Joshua Kelley in the lead role at this point, but if coachAnthonyLynn continues to ride the hot hand at the position, the most productive RB could change from week to week. So, for now, both Jackson and Kelley are boom-or-bust flex plays, especially in a favorable Week 9 matchup against the Raiders.
