Aaron Rodgers wont back down from challenges of new Packers
The Packers will open the NFL's 100th season Thursday night against the Bears. It marks a new era for Green Bayunderfirst-year coach Matt LaFleur, and it's the first look at two-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers in anew offense. Former Packers receiver Jordy Nelson Lane Thomas Jersey usually knows what to expect from his former teammate.
This time, Nelson is waiting to see what's next just like everybody else.
"I think it's wait and see," Nelson told Sporting News this week. "I think it's always wait and see early in the season. You'll see that from Week 1 to Week 2 into Week 3. But Aaron isn't one (who is)going to back down from that challenge. He's smart, he's talented and he's going to do everything he can to make it work. I'm excited to sit back and kind of see how it goes."

Nelson retired after the 2018 season. He spent nine seasons in Green Bay from 2008-17. He had 613 receptions for 8,587 yards and 93 TDs and was a favorite target for Rodgers through his career with the Packers.
Nelson began his career in 2008, when Rodgers took the starting job in Green Bay. Nelson said Rodgers' leadership stood out from the start, and that contributed to their succe sful pairing on the Jordan Hicks Jersey field for most of the next decade.
"When he won the starting job from (Brett) Favre there were a lot of young players on that team," Nelson said. "He was able to gain the respect of the veteran players, and that kind of got us all started in the right direction."
Rodgers led the Packers to Rangel Ravelo Jersey a victory against theSteelers in Super Bowl 45, a game in which Nelson had nine catches for 140 yards and a TD.

"It doesn't matter if there is a chip or no chip, Aaron is going to do go out and prepare to play the best he can," Nelson said. "Aaron is going to work to get everyone on the same page and sometimes he can be tough.
"That's also what makes the offense that much better."

Nelson spent Tuesday at the "USAA's Salute to Service NFL Boot Camp" at the Naval Station Great Lakes near Chicago, St. Louis Cardinals Jersey where he worked with former Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher in a friendly competition. That conjured up memories from the rivalry with Chicago.
Nelson played in 17 games against the Bears, and the Packers had a 14-3 record in those games. Nelson had 68 catches for 1,060 yards and eight TDs in those games and the 2010 NFC championship game Green Bay won 21-14 still stands out most.
"It would be hard not to go with the NFC championship game," Nelson said. "When you get in those playoff games, and then it's a rival on top of it, that adds to it. We had a lot of good games with them, but that's one you would always point to."

Nelson, who turned 34 in May, spent his final season with Oakland in 2018. He retired with thePackers and said despite the buzz of a new NFL season he isconfident he made the right decision. He iscontent to sit back and watch the Packers for once.

Participants were evaluated in drills such as the 40-yard dash, vertical jump, three-cone shuttle, receiving gauntlet and quarterback arm challenge.
