The Unforgiven II

by Lea Ebio
He squirms and shrunk before their cold, probing eyes
For he knew that they could read the truth from his lies
a familiar emotion creeps into his beating heart
a feeling of fear that rips his poor soul apart.

Shadows dance! shadows dance! he raves
like a frantic madman, he behaves
Poor fellow, lost his sanity
lost his soul to eternity.

Now they had released him and set him free
only to wander the streets aimlessly
Forgotten, shunned by friends and family
but remembered most by his enemies.

Hunger and weariness seized him in his slumber
and there by the piles of dirt, he sleeps forever
He has found a comfort in Death's cold, outstretched hands
Which was taken from him in this cruel, righteous land.
