The Phantom's fall

by hobbit2530
The storm has come
My solitary shadow is trembling
I have dealt with the ferocious wind.
While in the cliff of darkness
I begged to be save
Salvation comes from the light
Not from the night but light.

My life lost luster
My core fell nowhere
I stopped and searched everywhere
Not a grain of stain or dust
On the citadel's alabaster ground
The purity was astounding
I wept.

If life is about to leave
Why panic and grieve?
Even the works of art
We believed would endure
Will be forgotten
I'm sure.

Depression,oppression,desperation
Those are worst than death
This business of fear
Can only be handled by me
Who else but myself
By writing and dealing with it
Through poetry.
Let others and the author know if you liked it

Liked it alot?
