The Abused

by Lea Ebio
They dressed me in revealing clothes and made me their slave
and forced me to dance for them, and I dug my grave
They applauded me but I feel no pride in the comments they gave
Oh! How I repulse them for how rudely they behave.

I smile to hide my anxiety and the tears i have shed
They laugh at me while my heart's have bled
I was a victim of a cruel deed
and I loathed them for the sins they did.

They took away everything I have
my posessions and my pride, they ripped into shreds
They exploited my rights and abused my liberty
and let me mourn for my tainted dignity.

They mocked and ridiculed me and made me ashamed
for now I bear the weight of a disgraceful fame
Promised myself I will not lose in this immoral game
And someday I will give pride back to my name.
