Smiling in the Rain

by purpletears
The rain couldn´t stop falling over the city. Long gone were those beautiful days of spring, when the sun seemed to shine brighter tan ever. A gentle breeze of wind seemed to sing a song filled with pure melancholy. Had been his situation the same it used to be, that gloomy weather would have made him feel somewhat depressed. But now, Mark felt a sweet sensation inside of his soul every time he watched the rain fall over the empty streets. Those little raindrops reminded him of someone very special who just entered into his life. It was a girl who mark met at the local library.
For some of her classmates, she was nothing but a weirdo. But for Mark, that shy looking girl was the best thing on his life. Both had a lot of shared interests and dreams. Mark, the lonely boy, suddenly found a person that deeply cared about him. His nights were about to become a little bit warmer thanks to the good heart of a young lady.
Even when life made her move to a far away place for a few months, her absence wasn´t too painful for Mark. Those little drops of crystalline water reminded him that there was someone worth smiling for.
