Shards

by nelson c.j
Did she tell you?
That our beings separated twice,
Churning through the deep bayou,
Itching my hair, and skin like bitter lice.
Did she tell you?

That the shards we promised to uphold,
Withered?
That we lay low on the York city in strong hold?
Tittered.
Did she tell you?

These tunnels are caving in.
The pile of stones, and rocks have shocked us out of our bones.
I knew we weren't up to something.
That your heart was morphed from stone.
Yet I trudged on,
For I yearned to melt it,
Yes I moved painfully, a ton,
For I would have twisted the bars till I felt it.

Did she tell you?
The walls are crashing around.
The shards she left have a resound.
Let others and the author know if you liked it

Liked it alot?
