Safe Place
Nothing but a safe haven

Against all odds, here I am,
Totally alone in a big city,
Trying to find
A little bit of light.
The bright lights
Sparkle like fireflies,
Yet, for me, they look empty
And colder than ice.
The only thing in the world
That could make me feel alive
Is your serene presence
Right here, by my side.
Living a glittery life
Means nothing to me
If I don´t have you
And your sweet embrace.
I know life will lead me back
Into your strong arms;
That beautiful place
Where I feel calm.
