The strong blizzard was as if pulling me back and the thick snow slowed down my movement. I couldn’t do anything in this condition but to force my self dodging and avoiding any possible attacked the three headed wolf may lunged toward me.
“Stop running away like a coward!” shouted Odin from nowhere. I obviously couldn’t see him when in fact he was somewhere closed around me.
“Start attacking! Or else you’ll become his meal!” added Odin.
“Whatever old man! I know what I’m doing! Stop treating me like a child!” I shouted back to Odin. I said that even after knowing I had no idea what to do next.
“Then prove it!”
I calmed my mind, still hidden underneath the cliff curvy slope, thick with snow. I visioned something ginormous in my mind. Something I’ve seen before in my dreams. Something nightmarish. I touched the icy ground with my palm and summoned the creature. Red eyes, bat like wings, massive horns, standing on two legs with two arms and holding a spear. It’s the ancient Egyptian demon that I saw in my dreams.
Odin immediately got up and stood still from the throne and murmured something to himself, “Grimm, is that . . .”
The creature Grimm had summoned fought the three headed wolf like it was nothing. He tamed the wolf like an Australian shepherd dog. Bloodied and injured, the three headed wolf backing off from the demonic creature and disappeared in the summoning light. The ancient Egyptian demon turned back to Grimm, walking toward him but immediately Odin clapped his hand and all the virtual illusion came back to reality. Grimm was shivering.
“How in the world? I thought . . .” but I cut Odin’s word before he could finished.
“I saw the demon when you sent me back thousand years in the past when you showed me the vision few days ago, just when I thought you were dead. Then it started appearing in my dreams.”
“Grimm! You know the rules! You cannot use that creature in your summoning! Your power was dated back thousand of years when the demon was in his glory. Your magic came from the dark side, rooted an evil, if you used that power to summoned that creature, it will eventually consume you and you’ll have no control over the dark magic. The only way to make that dark power of yours under your control is to use it as the opposite, fighting it for good. Grimm, it is forbidden to use your dark power to summon the dark.” Odin patted Grimm’s shoulder, his face showing like he was worried but angry at the same time.
“Now, dismiss. Have a good rest. I’ll see you later.”
I’ve always knew that I couldn’t use my power as how I wished, I’m afraid it would drag me quickly to the dark side. I would need to blend it with the magic of light to make this dark power of mine neutral. That night I was thinking about my father I’ve never seen or known in my entire life. Loki. What was he capable of and why so many bad histories about his past. All I know about him was that, he was the master of dark magic and mastermind. Just that. The view from my chamber was very extraordinary. There up in the night sky I could see the other eight realms line up in curved. The stars sparkled brightly and Asgard city was brightly lit up with golden light, revealing the majestic domes, pillars, statues, sky scrappers of Asgardians architecture.
