Orphan
The fear and pain of losing your parents.

Pain is a common feeling
these days
Where scars and broken spirits
grope in the ruins of dreams
and untold stories
Let my heart fill with love
My eyes wander around beauty
Not of blood and torn body parts
I don't know where to go.
Aching feet eager to understand
What remains of my life
In this vast land of chaos
And oh so cold.
Abandoning fears
Wiping my tears
As I carry the sepia pictures
of Mama and Papa
Makes my heart
the loneliest organ
all over my body
I am an orphan
Waiting for God's plan.
