Senseless emotion fills my mind, but that doesn't matter anymore this moment does. I feel the music move me and I move to the rhythm. It might be someone else’s wedding, but I am letting myself loose tonight. The beads from my long pastel blue dress swings with my hips, casting little dots of light on the dance floor.
Out of the corner of my eye I see a figure, this figure begins to grow bigger and bigger as he gets closer to me. It is the figure of a guy who is now standing in front of me. He is tall and fair with a well-structured frame. He looks handsome in his all black shirt and pants. His well-toned muscles giving shape to his black shirt.
I meet his gaze and notice that his eyes are the colour of the ocean-blue. We hold each other in an unbreakable spell, until he takes my hand and draws me to him. We dance in silent despair, locked by a beauty that we can only see within. The music changes, but our dance doesn't change. After five songs he leans in and whispers into my ear;
“I’ll follow you to the end of the world.” He lets go of me and stares into my eyes, daring me to try it.
My defiance stirs and I remember that this venue has a dark intimate corner, far away from prying eyes.
I turn and begin walking to that secluded place, all the while my heart is hammering and I can’t stop a flush from creeping up to my face and coloring my cheeks.
I stand with my back against the wall. After three minutes he comes into view.
“I’d like to kiss you senseless.” He whispers in a soft voice.
I find myself drawn to him.
“I’ll let you kiss me, as long as after it happens you don’t contact me in any way.” A mischievous smile plays across my lips.
He begins walking towards and nods in agreement.
I can feel his breath on me. He places his hands against the wall on either side of my face.
He stands for a life time deeply looking into my eyes, as if he is searching for something inside, then his mouth descends upon mine.
The initial feeling is his lips against mine, until he parts it and slides deeper within to discover secrets that haven’t been forgotten. He takes his time to slowly savor each second, taking my conscious to another state of being. I felt raw, naked and exposed. One kiss.
I felt myself smiling to this, I smell his after shave and taste his soul. And yet we still continue to kiss.
He begged to find my core and I willingly gave him permission.
When he finally broke contact, I was beyond breathless, my soul was shaking. With one final brush on my lips he left, without a word, without a name.
I walk back into the wedding hall, after snatching my compassion from the dustbin.
My eyes search for the amazing stranger, but I don’t find him.
After scouring the crowd five times, I smile and lean against the wall- he was true to his word.
