Jeans Miracle

by sheelsdevi
Anupama had nothing to complain about. How could she , when God was so interested in watching over her well being ..!! A very financially comfortable husband, Akash, who, thought a world of her .A naughty pesky teenage daughter, Nyla, who was good at heart, but could not be girlish and meek as that was not the `in` thing!!So she moved with the new generation bustle. But Anupama held an imaginary string on her with her strict ways.
All said and done, Anupama was never happy. Because she was forever putting on weight. Moreover she was not at all comfortable dieting. A contradictory nature that was making Anupama lose all her mental peace. She sulked whenever she was left alone. Because with her happy family around, she was bound to be happy .So she pretended happiness.
Days passed. Anupama lost all interest in life with her pessimistic nature .Akash was devastated. He somehow wanted to make her come out of this dull stupor .SO one day he told her, ’Anu, don’t be sad. There is a solution for everything on earth. All that you have to do is find that solution. Here in your case, you first have to have an aim .Then slowly start to achieve it. Make it a point to do it .Can’t find an aim by yourself? Ok then I shall find you one. Imagine you in a jeans. You`d be the talk of the town. With your dreamy looks, flawless skin, and ageless beauty. Prove to the world that middle age is not for bulges and sulking…I will be the happiest “Akash stopped his volley of words and gazed longingly at Anupama…Anupama`s eyes brightened. ‘’What Akash? You would buy me a jeans and allow me to wear it too? I can’t believe it “.”You can believe it now ,Anu. He double confirmed it with a passionate kiss on her wonderstruck mouth.
Workouts never seemed so interesting for Anupama. Yes with an aim to reach, even moon seemed accessible!!. Crash diet, work outs, diet conscious food and all the mumbo jumbo took up Anupama`s time and her sulking flew away. With the advent of her newly gotten energy and interests she looked around her ambience and found so many beautiful things she missed out on.
The craving for a `hep` look made her loose a lot of weight. Now she was a perfect slim beauty in no time. Within a matter of three months, she achieved her aim…..
Nyla felt envious of her svelte mom. But she flaunted her mom to her friends. So that was why Nyla never brought friends to her house. She was ashamed of her mom`s shape. Anupama thought it all to be so ghastly. ``what is this world coming to? Live flesh doesn’t have any market here .Anupama laughed at her own usage.
Anupama just couldn’t wait to get in to that jeans Akash had promised her. “Akash did you buy that jeans “? Anupama was still apprehensive with excitement.
‘’Oh! Yes .I bought it. .It is well hidden amidst my pants in my Almirah. Open it and see that concealed packet there.” Akash smiled his consent. She did as she was told. Then she slowly opened the package. In it there was a beautiful cream coloured zari bordered `set –mundu`, the traditional dress of a Kerala woman.
‘Wear it Anu, you would look deliciously delectable in this sexiest attire on earth. It is so regal, elegant and exquisite. With your newly won lithe shape, you would be a winner. !!
Anupama didn’t know what to say. She looked up at her husband`s face. There she found a desirous longing for her. An urge to see her in that attire. Yes, indeed he was looking so happy.
Anupama slowly walked away from him and entered her room and closed the door. She sat looking at that beautiful attire. Then she got up and draped it around her .Yes indeed she did look ravishing.
But it all happened because of an aim. She understood an aim is all what a human being needs to prosper. She decided to discard her sulkiness and the craze for jeans forever .Jeans is best on a man .She decided. Moreover Jeans meant new generation and unrest. Through jeans she happily arrived at her complacent middle aged womanhood.
A jeans miracle indeed!!
