At the age of 19, I began to write. Through this journey, I found out how beautiful words could be and how I love it. Apart from this, I’m a bored unwilling engineer student who would rather spend his time reading comics rather than circuit ‘Theory’. I won’t hesitate in achieving perfection, I would sell my soul if I have to. I must confess that I find suffering in inventions, pain and sorrow in performing art are enormously interesting. In spite the luxury and amusement life offered, they willingly gave it all up. For what they aspire perhaps I believe, they didn’t settle for average ambition of human being.
One day, while I was drinking my milk, I stumbled upon a strange book. At first glance, it’s appeared as if it was burning so with my milk I run toward it. Strangely, the fire vanished. The thought of it influenced me in thinking that some hallucination takes place in my head but I quickly dismissed it. I took the book from the ground, checking it if is someone’s lost possession. The book contains nothing but a procedure to “How to summon Awamir” It was so interesting, I decided to take it home with me.
The book is blood red and is very thick yet consist mainly of empty pages. I knew summoning devil is wrong, regardless I tried it anyway. I was extremely tempted and bored at the same time. Moreover, I didn’t know this could even work so you can’t blame me for trying. Therefore, I started the ritual.
1. Draw the Pentagram based on the Figure 1.0
2. Lit candles on the shaded region on Pentagram based on Figure 1.1(Prepare a fire extinguisher for safety precautions)
3. Prepare a sacrifice (Refer the “List of Sacrifice That is Acceptable” )
4. Chant this sentences “James Ole Ole” as many as the stairs at your house. If there is no stair in your house, chant it ten times.
5. Repeat step 4 .
List of Sacrifice That is Acceptable
-Roasted Chicken (Organic chicken only)
-Lamb Steak (Add Gravy-mushroom/black pepper)
-Beef Stew (Slow cook and organic beef only)
...(The list goes on to 4 pages)
The Pentagram, candles, a organic roasted chicken and a fire extinguisher, everything is set. I lit the candles and began chanting. I didn’t expect it to work though. Before I knew it, the candles flame jump in excitement while the floor were slowly covered with mist and slowly fills the room with darkness. I’ll know when things getting supernatural when it present itself.
A pair of flaring wings descended down to the floor and the devil presents itself while breathing out shadows. The effect might be intimidating but after the mist disappeared, the sight I caught was an old man scratching his butt.
“Hello human. I must thank you for releasing me. ” the old man with wings spoke.
I must be really high to experience this. I slap my face as hard as I could. The idea that I’m hallucinating quickly wilted as the pain from slapping my face was very real.
“Hahaha, you’re funny for a human. I tell you what, how about I give you a wish as a token of gratitude for releasing me. Oh, by the way the name is Awamir in case if you’re wondering”
This is it, my chance. Anything!
“I want to become the best writer in existence”
“Oh, how ambitious! Sure you don’t what fortune, fame?”
“No fortune! Make me the best” I said.
“I bestow upon you this chair”
“This old chair!?” I interrupt.
“And!... this ‘magnificent’ typewriter” Awamir quickly interrupt me interrupting him.
”Wait, wait, wait... “I said.
“Whats wrong?” Awamir looks at me and I stared at him. I’m in the state of confusion.
“Nothing, yeah well... typewriter isn’t what I had in mind. It’s just.... you know... a bit outdated and this chair...” what he gave me wasn’t what I expect. I feel sorry to tell him my disappointment but I was devastated.
Awamir looks down. “Do you like to Imagine young human?”
“Umm... Surely I do. I love it” I said honestly.
“Once, in the past, this chair and this typewriter support a forgotten writer. It holds perhaps his countless shattered soul of disappointment and hard work. If you see him, you would notice his swollen fingers, bundles of paper which compressed with multitude of writings on the floor and how he study even on the wall he writes. I believe that is the best writer there is. How his mind go crazy, in the pursuit of achieving”
Awamir eyes is as honest as his story. My heart was taken by his values.
“So, how do I use those things?” I was ready to give it a try.
“Sit, and imagine... it’ll come.”
