I looked at you,
tried to discover the magic
in your smiling face.
We spoke in hurried but precise sentences,
with nervous laughter,
our eyes sparkling,
our lips red and full of poetry,
our hearts trembling wild,
and the wind caressing your glowing black hair.
Still I never talked about love, love, my love.
Come nightfall, I would curse my stupidities
and find myself
secretly loving you.

January 15, 2016 - 10:51 Lorenzo! I came back to give my comment to this little gem. ~~*~~ And when our eyes met, my dear Oh, it's heaven on earth, I swear! But I am shy, I don't know why Like a bird in my hand, I let you fly... ~~*~~ I can relate to this poem. It helps me get back to my high school and college days when I have to be serious in my studies so "crushes" are just like stars to me. Cute and sweet. Great job, Lorenzo!
