Holy Spirit Weekend

by dandyspacedude
Our hands held high, heaven directed
Our soles slanted at hell below
And the heat rose to our feet, holy afflicted
Feverish bones shaking, our souls aglow

The words we sang in garbled tongue
Hashalam ga ra’s and Oi si dai’s
Angel speak, they called it, God himself did strung
Devils joining in at the chorus, oh my!

And the children of Adonai did quake
Limbs spirit filled, glaze eyes staring at me
Silent judgement did pierce my sins awake
So I joined them. Hoping ‘twas the holes I would see

But the Lord did not knock
Nor did he wash my feet, covered in chalk

My Holy Ghost haunts me to this day
