His Favorite Daughter

by bestdianneever

Once upon a time, there were six children
Among them, the third is the father's favorite one
He treasures her like a diamond ring
He keeps her in the castle even if he's no King
Every day, he feeds her with a silver spoon
And the others are left to swoon.

Tell you what, when the third daughter isn't very happy
She makes the father buy all kinds of candy
She eats it all without sharing
And her siblings are left asking
Then she would trick them all
By wrapping stones and all.

Now, the third daughter got a suitor
And the father doesn't like him for he's a traitor
He locked the daughter in the castle for her safety
He puts three guards for the daughter so lovely
He checks her every minute of the day
He checks her to make sure she's okay.

One day, when the father went to check her again
He was so shocked to see that the door is open
The three guards came rushing
They told him his daughter was crying
So they let her out but she started running
To the gate where the suitor is waiting.

For many nights, the father couldn't sleep and he got weak
And the five children took care of him while he is sick
When the father regained his strength, he vowed
To move on, start a new and be proud
To become happy again
Together with his five children.
