Girl...Lost? (part 4)

by purpletears
After making a pause that felt as long as the same eternity, the reflection on the river finally answered.
“Oh, darling! I am more real than you. For example. I know what´s my purpose on life: To reflect your virtues and mistakes. Can you say the same about yourself?”
“Of course! I want to be one of the best accountants!”
“Is that really your dream? Or is it somebody else´s?”
Alice wanted to scream “Of course it is mine” But thinking about it, that was what her parents wanted her to do from an early age, not realizing that she had a natural talent for performing arts.
“Why are you asking me such a question? Alice tried to rebuff “Why does the nature of a dream matter so much to you?”
“What a silly question!, the reflection exclaimed. Those dreams are the only thing that show your true identity”
“Who is so? I think I´m not understanding what are you saying”
“I am saying that you need to discover what´s your true dream If you want to recover your identity”
“But how am I supposed to do so? Can you tell me?”
“I wish I could! But, then, what point would have making you doing all of this?”
Alice was more confused than ever.
