Fire of Caveat - Part 2

by Velantra
He roars like a lion at Carl! His face turning red with fury and despise…….
.

Carl lifts himself up lazily, peeping at what his brother is holding in his hand. “Uh, your credit card bill, so? What does your spending on your bill have to do with me?”
“What!? It has everything to do with you, your lazy donkey…. who spends all this money?” he looked at the bill: “Handbag from Liamonte for a thousand dollars!? Three pairs of shoes from Angelo’s! Five hundred bucks each! I don’t even know who “Liamonte” is! Is his handbags made of diamonds or what?”
He slaps with his hand on the bill: “Two thousand bucks for whiskey? Whiskey? Did it come from the Titanic?” Michelle comes peeping through the window: “What are you two on about now? Did Carl come back drunk as a squirrel last night? Throw him out of the house.”
Carl jumps up: “I hate you both!!! You think because you are 11 years older than me; and mom and dad…” he flung his hands in the air: “left all of this to you, dear brother John and madam Michelle, that you have the rights over my life as well!!” Sophia started crying outside and Michelle went to pick her up.
Marcha came down the stairs, with a cigarette in her hand. She sounded annoyed: “Where is Sophia?” She squealed as loud as she can: “Carl! Carl! Where are you?” She strolled onto the patio: “Where are you monkey? Sophia? Mommy’s little teddy bear?!”
She plops herself on one of the sofas and slipped her legs underneath her. She blew out the smoke of her cigarette slowly, her eyes half closed. Sophia came running towards her. “Mommy look, I made a little frog, look!” She was very excited about it: “Auntie Miccy, helped me to make it out of mud.” Marches only reply was: “Hmmm, yes, yes, very cute…” She watched as Michelle took of her garden gloves, walking towards her.
Michelle took the weight off her feet and sighed: “Marcha you know we loathe it when you smoke in the house….” She looked at Marcha thinking: “You little squealing mouse, you irritate me, enough to jump of a cliff.” They looked at each other with despise and hostility.
Marcha looked at Michelle through a daze of smoke: “Why do you always have to be on my case? What is John and Carl up in arms about this time?” Michelle rested her head on the cushion of the couch, she felt irritated: “Ask them….” She nodded towards Sophia: “Make your child lunch; breakfast….” She stood up, throwing her hands sideways: “whatever time of the day, YOU think it is.” With envisage on the YOU! ” I am going to take a shower.”
It was a hot and sunshiny day; the house was blissfully cool. She felt sticky and dirty. She couldn’t wait to take a shower. Lay down for a while, read a book…..Michelle went to the kitchen for something to drink. Carl was sitting at the table with a beer in his hand. She opened the fridge door, looking for something cold. “So? Why are the two of you at each other’s throats today?” He pulled his hand through his hair: “His slash my credit card, again. Why? Do you also have something to say?”
Michelle kept gazing into the fridge, she turned around slowly and said “Yes.” She looked at her brother: his dark brown hair was short, tangled, you could see his eyes were blood red, from the previous night drinking. His almost black eyes, was scrutinizing her. She knew him her whole life. She could see he was getting that defensive look in his eyes.
“Yes, I have something to say….”
