Find God

by Manahill Naik
Humans are made
To hold the reins
Humans are made
To be blessed
And ungrateful
We're meant to learn
And to see
What we never see
*
Beleive,
There our secrets
Buried under
The deepened craters
Of the glowing moon
*
There are uncanny tales
Etched within
The patterns over
The snake skin
*
The tree's bark
Has heard
What age has told
*
The cherryblossoms bow
They're aware
And they know
What our concealed hearts
Have been berefted of
*
The quail sings
Songs of praise
It's thankful
I'm just
Breathing
Watching
And everything remains
Unwatched
*
God,
You've instilled in me
The stench of blessings
God,
You've gifted me
Unwanted presents
God,
You've healed my
Deserving wounds
God,
You've been here
And I've left you
*
God,
I have kept you
And your words
Safe
Hidden
On the top shelf
It's dark
It's dusty
And you're left forgotten
*
It's time
I wipe
The smell of dusty old books
Away
It's time
I light
Unlit paths
Of my brain
It's time
I follow
All the broken signs
You've left within
Unending horizons
And the waking Sun
It's time
I realize
Everything
That you've ever done
*
Learn,
From the wounded knees
That never stop kneeling
And a wordless tongue
That never stops praising
God,
I've found you
In verses I never read
I've found you
Within the praying wind
I had you
All along
Safe
Hidden
In crevices of my heart
And a darkened closet
At the top shelf
That I never opened
Until yet

May 31, 2017 - 21:27 Thanks, Naik for sharing this./ One good thing about God is that He never abandon those that have found Him. We may lose Him, but He's always there.

June 2, 2017 - 15:01 I agree with you. There's a sequel to this poem that mentions the fact. Thankyou for reading.

June 26, 2017 - 17:34 Does God exist? Sometimes I feel He does - sometimes I think there is no such thing. Steven Hawkins says God does not exist. But sometimes believing in God is more comforting.

July 3, 2017 - 19:43 It might offend the atheists out here but I believe you just need to see more clearly. He exists. You just gotto see it. Some miracles are just so unbelievably impossible , you can't help but believe in the existence of Someone Who has the authority to provoke such miracles, Someone who is nothing like us but above us, Someone Who is beyond logic and science and the intelligence of Stephen Hawkings. I agree, believing in God is the only hope to get through the 'labyrinth of suffering'. One more thing that I personally noticed was that whenever a man denies God, he inevitably meets misfortune. So is the case with Stephen Hawking and he's not the only one. There's an entire history of men out here who were punished for denying God yet people still continue to disbeleive which only makes them, I don't know, ignorant? "Surely in the creation of the heavens and the Earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, there are signs for men of understanding." -Quran, Al Emran.
