ENYUMUAMA 2: ROYAL VACUUM

ENYUMUAMA 2: ROYAL VACUUM

I saw the faces of the people as it was in a dream
They were people that have once been the subjects
Of this ancient Kingdom: a kingdom now in desolation.
In their numbers they appeared, attired in their
Ceremonial best, they have come, representing
All generations, to pay homage to the Throne.

It was a reflection of the making of that ancient city
And also a reconstruction of the pattern of the ancient city
Some of the faces brought in childhood memories
Others were mere ancient representation of those
Who were dwelling in this ancient kingdom
They have all come to pay homage to the Throne,

For tales have spread abroad, beyond the physical realm
Even unto the seraphic plains where the saints dwell
That the throne which was destroyed and desecrated upon
And left in ruins and desolation by the rampaging fiend,
Have got a new royalty for to build the broken
Walls and Palaces to make a new saintly Throne.

As I stood there watching the incendiary display
As if a reel is being spun, rewinding a time machine
Displaying the ancient city in its splendour and joy
That was buried amongst the ruins and moss upon
Where I now stand, leaning on my scepter
All asking and urging me to rebuild the Throne.

It was neither a dream nor an illusion, the faces that I see
I have known them when as a child I played and ran the lanes
Of this fallen ancient town overgrown now with weed and thorns;
They were my uncles and aunties: my fathers and mothers
And the stories of those before them, upon whom
The city was built, and which throne I now sit.

I felt the heaving of my heart as a ball of tears cascaded
Down my cheek and bursts into a million molecules at my feet
Anguish held me bound as I imagined the destruction
And an abandonment of this place I have lived as a child.
ENYUMUAMA! The city of the princes and princesses
I sit now on a Royal vacuum; a vacuum I’ll have to fill someday
Let others and the author know if you liked it

Liked it alot?

Too much love of the cat, they say, kills the moth. Most love relationship got broken as a result of wrongly managed petty frail nerves. Like as I love to say, just musing.
