Close But Far

by kyra
You are so close, yet so far;
My heart and brain fights a cold war;
My heart throbs to be so close,
But my brain yells, you are so far!

My mind goes insane,
While my heart writhes in pain.
Like the blood that rushes through my veins,
My love for you never goes in vain!

As I slip into our golden past,
I see, we have bonded so fast,
And grown so close.
Yet, we remain so far,
Like the shining stars,
High up in the mesmerizing dark.

We are so close,
In our special hearts.
Yet remain so far,
For our hearts to reach out.
