Climbing Montford Hill

by MinPerring90
Climbing Montford Hill. It might be one of the most longest walks to reach the top of the Montford hill. And at times really exhausting. BUT it is hundred percent definitely worth walking there. What with such stunning views down below the hill and a great place to stop for a picnic or something to eat. That was if it was not really windy of course when at the top of the hill.

That was exactly what Lauren thought about Montford Hill. Whether the people of Montford Hill liked it or not. Each to their own as the old saying goes.

Montford Hill is one of the most well known tall hills that becomes really packed with tourists during the summer. Who could blame the tourists for visiting this stunning location in the village of Montford. Lauren and her family, known as the bright, fun loving Lester`s. A popular surname where her father Daniel came from originally. Seeing as her partner Ben was definitely planning to watch the Olympics sports on the television pretty much for the rest of the afternoon at home. With his feet up for a change. Not that she minded herself, seeing as he was always a great fan of the world Olympics on television.

So after Lauren ate up her prepared lunch and got on her large black rucksack onto her shoulders she made her journey in her car driving to Montford Hill slowly. The traffic queue on the roundabout leading on to Montford Hill was rather busy. But nonetheless it did not stop her wanting to go to visit Montford Hill. She had taken along her sparkling peach flavoured sugar free drink and her Kodak camera. She was definitely planning to take some pictures whilst at the top of Montford Hill. Being interested into photography for a long time.

By around one thirty in the afternoon Lauren was starting to make her walk up to the top of Montford Hill. This time she timed herself on her watch to see how long it would take her to reach the very top of the hill. She just had one short break half way towards walking to the top and sat down on a bench and sipped a little of her peach drink. Alongside the path in front of her it was surrounded with pine trees and ferns. On the overgrown side. Needing to be cut by the council soon. And continued finishing her journey towards the top of Montford Hill. Even though she was feeling pretty exhausted, no surprise, considering at times the path got rather steep. The total journey today took her a good fifty minutes. Which didn't even compare to the journey to the top of the Snowdonia mountain in North Wales. Which she had never been before, but was planning to in the future at some point. Why not she thought. She took some lovely looking photos with her Kodak camera of the view below. Including the beautiful looking red poppy field and the maize fields. Which looked lovely at this time of year, in the beginning of July.

She had such a fantastic time this afternoon walking to the top of Montford Hill.
