Changing lanes in Life's Thoroughfare

CHANGING LANES IN LIFE’S THOROUGHFARE

Fast and furious slides past the events
Of our lives in each day’s meet
While we grapple with the issues at
Hand; which leads yet to another
Fast and furious: thus life fled by
Our time on earth doth spent

The hope and desire of life thus
Appears as a mirage of hope set
That would be achieved in the morrow
Yet the morrow itself is a mirage of hope set
There is just always the morrow never meet
Thus our time on earth doth spent

In this fast speeding life’s thoroughfare
And our goals mere shimmering haze
We could miss the savior insistence call
For His‘s a patience peaceful thoroughfare
When life’s sojourn slides ‘n our goal threatened
It’s time to change lanes in life’s thoroughfare

His words are rock set upon stony ground
His will is to our desires and hope fulfill
He beckons on all who furiously slides by
To those who hearken and halt their drift
He prepares an intersection in life’s highway
For the pilgrims to change lanes in life’s thoroughfare
Let others and the author know if you liked it

Liked it alot?
