Bound by Music

In 2002 ,I was one heartbroken girl .After a break up with my boy friend .I was trying to put the pieces together and get on with my life .Then one day my friend , Reena ,told .I met your schoolmate in New Delhi who still seemed interested in you. I sniggered . A Bangalore bank manager , I had at age 24 become quite the cynic.
In fact I could not even remember a single fascinating guy from high school until Reena said Deepak Chopra . I screamed . Deepak Chopra was a long lost high school crush of mine, two classes my senior .A couple of days later .Deepak Chopra called me from Bangalore. The shy intelligent head boy from school shared my tastes in music and we had a mild flirtation back then half a life time ago. Now here he was on the phone , still interested in what music I listened to .And he was far from shy.
He sounded delightful and to think .I had almost forgotten him we had each been through our share of life studies, broken hearts and job changes. There was a lot to catch up on over the next two weeks.
Under the pretext of visiting my sister there .I went to Bangalore and also met Deepak Chopra .He gave me a CD he had compiled specially for me . Eddie Veddar and Pankaj Udhas .Long Road and moon dance were some of the collection. I listened to again and again . I was falling in love.
One night , I mustered my courage .picked up the phone and confessed my feelings .I went to USA for higher studies. But that only made our hearts long for each other. We were married six months ago . I can thank Reena . Our music and our stars for getting us back to where we belong.
