Amys day trip to Shrewsbury

by MinPerring90
The town of Shrewsbury. If Amy could describe Shrewsbury town in four words it would be stunning, greatly historic and a fantastic place for tourists to spend their afternoon.

Amy had just come back home twenty minutes ago from working in the local Mayfield library located near the town centre. She was a part time library assistant working from Mondays till Friday afternoons. Starting work from nine o clock in the morning until one o clock in the afternoon. She mostly dealt with all the library visitors borrowing and taking out library books. She always wanted to work in a library environment as long as she can remember. It was one of her dreams come true. Her bedroom was like a library with literally tons of books neatly lining the bedroom book shelf.

Amy watched a little bit of television first being quite tired from work. She turned on the television and watched a bit of the local news whilst her tea was cooking. Not that there was anything exciting to watch on the television on Friday evenings. She was making a delicious tasting chicken curry and white rice meal for herself. And poured herself a glass of bubbly pink champagne and drank it down quickly. After she ate her tea she went upstairs to her bathroom to get washed and changed into her night clothes. She decided to go on her computer in her bedroom`s office desks and browse information on the internet about Shrewsbury. To prepare herself for the day trip tomorrow. She was really looking forward to it.

The next morning she woke up at seven o clock in the morning. It was Saturday today. She was planning to leave the house to drive down to Shrewsbury straight after her lunch. So after having her lunch she made the two hour driving journey each way to Shrewsbury. That was depending on the traffic queues of course. By around two thirty in the afternoon she arrived at the Frankwell car park in Shrewsbury. She parked her car there and first went for a walk along the Charles Darwin river walk along the river severn and opposite the Shrewsbury showground. Amy thought it was such a delightful walk along by the countryside site next to the loop of the river severn. Next she walked to the top of Smithfield Road and walked along the Castle gates street and saw the red bricked castle to her right. Being a fine sunny day she climbed the stairs up to the top of the Laras castle tower. And looked down to admire the view she saw up there. On her way back before leaving Shrewsbury she bought a postcard for her family from the castles gift shop museum.

Driving back the two hour journey in her car she thought to herself happily what a fantastic town Shrewsbury is really is. She planned to visit Shrewsbury again next time bringing along two of her best friends. Who always wanted to visit Shrewsbury too.
