A Bus to nowhere

by Mahoobee
Standing at the bus stop,

Observing people.

I wonder,

Aimlessly of their lives.

Girls in ripped jeans,

Boys with tank tops,

Are waiting beside me.

In this crowded place,

I look at my own created space.

A line so sharp and clean,

Separates me from this noise.

Men and women,

Are carrying a bundle of emotions,

Yet are lifeless at face.

They pretend to ignore my voice.

I cried for help.

I greeted them myself.

They ignore my intentions.

Yet are concentrating on the government's instructions.

No one seems to care,

About my life and my condition.

They move on.

This must be usual for them.

To meet a soulless person like me,

That can't differentiate between

The reality and the dream.

Within twenty seconds,

I have told you about my surroundings.

If you look closely at me,

It might seems to be a curse,

For me to be a tiny speck,

Lost in the universe.

The world around me,

Might not realise,

That I have seen the worst.

No one stumbles or passes a smile.

They move on.

This must be common for them to have.

Someone like me,

Having continuous flashbacks.

Without a hope for the future.

The bus arrives,

Like a connection between people's lives.

It carries them to their desired destinations.

The driver as always is least interested,

Where ever he goes.

He got his job.

All he has to do is open the knob,

And leave.

You will be responsible to open the door,

to your destiny it leads.

I enter the bus.

The driver asks me for my destination.

I give him a toothed smile.

"It doesn't matters." I say.

He sighs.

"You must be having a rough day."

I laugh emotionlessly.

"I am still searching for it."

He shrugs.

"I hope you find a way."

Nodding at his reply,

I sit on the conductor seat.

It reminds me that on this journey,

I am a guide of my own.

As for now...

I am all alone.
