Perfect Picture

by purpletears
He tried to use his best skills to paint an accurate portrait of her. But this time, he wasn´t able to do it. Honestly, it was… just too hard to do. How do you draw a beautiful soul? Not even the best painter in the world can do a good work putting the true self of such a complex human being. She was like the most beautiful rainbow; a myriad of beautiful colors that got together to create something really beautiful.
So, after trying over and over to make an accurate painting of his love, the young man just gave up. Years filled with sweet emotions and long nights of pure love are something too big and complex to be expressed in only a few brush strokes. Yet, the young artist feared being rejected by his loved one. What if the painting wasn´t good enough for her? He wanted to please her, so the idea of rejection really scared the young artist.
But all of his fears faded away when he saw her smile after seeing the painting. Yes, her outer beauty was brighter than a summer day, but her heart was almost as beautiful and tender as the most wonderful watercolor work.
